Towards a just society - you in?
If people can’t speak out, they act out
Connecting through language, literacy, and love
Everyone deserves a voice and a choice
Connect42 has been a leader and active collaborator in the drive within Tasmania for improved literacy outcomes for all Tasmanians. This is work that also led us into the justice system.
It has been a privilege to serve and to wholeheartedly address and achieve the objectives of the organisation across the past 10 years. This has only been possible through our passionate donors, volunteers, collaborators, and teams, for whom gratitude flows.
Connect42 has made proof of concept of many innovative approaches to supporting wholeness and repair for people within the justice system, supporting the foundations of their language, literacy, and connection.
The organisation is now passing the insights arising from its work to other custodians for the public availability and ongoing development of that knowledge, as it, as an entity, winds-up. It has been a privilege to carry a baton in this work and the baton is now passed on. On 29th November, an external administrator was appointed to Connect42 for the purpose of undertaking a solvent winding up in an orderly manner.
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose. We are grateful for all that has been ignited through the input of many good people.
Connect42’s Founder, Rosie Martin, is continuing to further the influence of the work which Connect42 carried, through the reflection, research and publication made possible in doctoral studies and networks.
We will continue to provide updates here on the website until we reach the close of the wind-up process.
Thank you again to all who have supported Connect42’s work.
About Us
Connect42 is a purpose driven not-for-profit organisation that works with people to build their communication skills so they can live whole lives in connection with others.
We do this by working one-on-one and in groups, in prisons, schools, and in community with families, children, with people experiencing homelessness and other disadvantage, and people with disability, as well as the broader community.
We do this to create connection through language, literacy and love.
Connect42 is a registered charity and has DGR1 status. Support this critical work of connection by volunteering in our programs.
Our Vision
Building connection through language and learning for a just society.
